Online Voting Platforms

There are many new platforms that allow you to contact Congress through their websites or app by voting and commenting on the issues. These online platforms do not make the list because they, again, are impersonal. (Are you detecting a theme yet?)

As with automated and prewritten messages, many in Congress question the authenticity of these online platforms. They also do not provide a way for members of Congress to communicate back with their constituents and potential voters.

While they may be fun to stay on top of the issues, it is not the best way to contact Congress. They are ranked #2 because some folks on Capitol Hill have told me many staffers do not like the platforms because they have underlying partisan motives.

Countable is an online voting platform which sells itelf as a good way to contact Congress, buy many people on the Hill do not trust this medium as a good way to contact Congress
